Angelic Visitations Are Awakening Us!

Believers, it is time to awaken and agree with Heaven! How do I know this for sure? Let me get straight to the point: God had me awakened from my sleep by an awakening/scribe angel that had me pen a fresh message from Heaven concerning "seeing our new season"!

I am writing the message that the angel gave to me in this article to you now. Even though I received the visitation while in South Korea, I know this message is a corporate one for the Body of Christ. Please let me explain.

Over the last few months, I have been ministering in Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, California, and then had an extensive itinerary in South Korea. While in South Korea, I was reminded by the Lord that at the beginning of this year He said that He was going to "mantle" His people with a new authority. I have been teaching and writing for quite some time concerning "mantles of authority," "mantles of anointing," and how to be set free many different types of "yokes" of oppression.

One of my main messages to the Body of Christ in this season is that God is awakening His children to a new season of hope, and He is clothing us with Himself! In Judges 6:34 (AMP), it states, "But the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon with Himself and took possession of him." Dear ones, just as He clothed Gideon with Himself – He is also clothing us! (More on that in a bit.)

For now, please know that you are being given a new and fresh mantle from Heaven. This mantle is empowering us with new strength and vision for the future. We are in a season when God's people are shifting from a season of discouragement, hopelessness, and spiritual slumber. Yet, there is more! There is also a renewed "seer" anointing being released to His people. A "seer" is a term applied to those with a prophetic gifting, who see visions or see into the Spirit realm. Expect for that area of anointing upon your lives to be activated at an entirely new level! It is the Lord's desire for each of us to "see" our new season and then properly align with Heaven. When we align with the government of Heaven, we also come into agreement with all that God says – about Him, and also about us!

See Your Breakthrough!

Dear ones, I cannot emphasize this enough... we need to be positioned to witness our breakthroughs and our new seasons! But, will we recognize a breakthrough if we experience it? I mean, really? It's important to "see" a breakthrough and also to "recognize" breakthrough as being what it is – breaking through an obstacle or force that opposes us!

I have taught on this subject for years, prayed for personal breakthroughs many times, and have even had dreams concerning different seasons of experiencing some type of breakthrough. But, recently I specifically heard the Lord speak to me concerning what the word breakthrough truly involves.Believer, you are not reading this article by accident. The Lord desires to renew our minds concerning His perspective and truths concerning our breakthroughs – so keep reading!

Interestingly, according to Merriam Webster Dictionary, a breakthrough involves "a sudden increase in knowledge or understanding." Spiritually, this means that when we receive new revelation concerning a truth or godly principle, that it opens the door for a breakthrough of some type. For example, according to John 8:32 (NIV), "...you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Therefore, knowing the truth empowers us to experience a breakthrough into greater freedom and liberty.

Another powerful definition for the word breakthrough involves our forward advancement as the Church. Again, using the Merriam Webster Dictionary, breakthrough means "an offensive thrust that penetrates and carries beyond a defensive line in warfare." This definition is revelation to us if we understand that the Body of Christ is not on the defense! No! We are on the offensive – always. This is because we always start at the finish line. We Start at the Finish Line

Hebrews 4:10-11 reminds us that we can "rest" and remain fully assured that what Christ accomplished at the Cross gave us eternal victory. Because of the Cross we have been given "salvation." As I have written many times before, salvation is more than our being "saved" from sin. The word "salvation" is the Greek word sozo and it implies that we are healed, delivered, protected, saved, and have all that Heaven has to offer!

If we know this (receive the revelation of this), we can experience a breakthrough now! What Christ did at the Cross has placed each of us on the offensive. Believer, it's time to renew our minds to these truths. Jesus told Peter that the gates of Hell would not be able to "prevail" against His Church (see Matthew 16:18). The word "prevail" means to "overpower." We need to understand that because we rule in life through Christ Jesus, when we advance forward and advance God's Kingdom on earth, the gates of Hell will not be able to overpower or overthrow us!

The Gates of Hell

What are the gates of Hell? A quick historical study of gates reveals that gates of fortified cities were used to hold councils in and represented places of great strength. With this in mind, we can easily assume that no council, plots, or strategies of satan (nor his angels) will prevail against us when we advance God's Kingdom on earth. No weapon of our enemy can prosper or prevail against the truths of God!

We are to use the keys of the Kingdom as we possess our Promised Land (every promise given to us by God). Using the principles of binding and loosing, as Jesus instructed Peter, will be our arsenal for victory in this season.

Jesus said, "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven"(Matthew 16:18-20 NIV, emphasis mine). (Photo by Robert Bartow "The Key" via elijahshopper.com)

The word "bind" in this previous passage means "to put in bonds" and to "tie." But, it also is derived from a word meaning "to petition." Therefore, when we pray, we are petitioning God to tie up our enemy and put him in bonds! I always say, "Jesus instructed His disciples (and us) to pray that Heaven touch earth. Whatever is not in Heaven does not belong here on earth! There is no sickness in Heaven; therefore, it does not belong here on earth. Therefore, I bind up sickness and disease and loose healing in Jesus' name!"

Precious saint, I have just given you an example of how to advance the Kingdom of God and experience breakthrough. Breakthrough comes whenever we begin to agree with Heaven and what the Word says! As you speak God's Word, you can also see your new season and be mantled with fresh strength!

Be Clothed and Mantled for Victory

As I said earlier, Gideon was "clothed" (mantled) with God Himself. If you recall Gideon's story, it was difficult for him to see himself as God saw him. Gideon was fearful and hiding from the Midianites. Yet God referred to him as a "mighty man of valor." God saw Gideon's potential – just as He sees ours. In fact, I like to say this: "He sees us completed!" Think about this: God saw Gideon completed – victorious, courageous, and clothed with might!

Even though Gideon couldn't see correctly, God kept speaking into his potential. God then said, "Gideon, go forward with what I have just spoken to you and called you. I called you a man of valuer and a man full of might... go forward with that mindset!" (Judges 6:14, paraphrased).

It is the same with us today, when God says, "Go forward with My strength. You are courageous; you are victorious; you are full of My power!"

Are we "seeing" ourselves that way? If not, it is time to "awaken"! We must awaken to what Heaven is declaring concerning ourselves in this season.

An Increase of Dreams and Visions

In South Korea, when the angel visited me, there was a knock at my door. I awoke from my sleep and looked at the alarm clock; it was 4:00 AM (the number four represents many things in dreams and visions; in this case, it represented the fourth day of creation and the beginning of times and seasons). I was then caught up in a vision where I went to the door and opened it – but no one was there. However, there was a cloud of glory that swept in the room, and I knew there was an angel present.

I heard the angel say, "I have come to awaken the Church. Now write what I tell you."

Several passages were given to me concerning the need for the Church to awaken out of slumber, such as Romans 13:11-14 and Psalm 57:8-9. But, the one I want to emphasize as I conclude this article is Song of Solomon 5:2 (NIV), which says, "I slept but my heart was awake. Listen! Yes, I was asleep, but my heart was awake! Precious Believer, God is about to increase dreams and visions. He will speak to us in the night seasons about areas that concern our future breakthroughs. It is His desire that we see our future, and He will speak to your heart concerning putting off the old so that you can embrace the new!

Preparing Your New Wineskin

God is preparing each of us to hold the new wine. I could write an entire article on that one subject, but for now I need you to focus on this important question: Is there any part of your past that you cannot get past? I would like to encourage you to ask the Lord to show you any area of your heart that might not be willing to "awaken!" If you sleep, is your heart remaining awake? Precious Believer, don't allow any area of your past to dictate your future and steal your future breakthroughs.

In my new book, Faith After Failure: Reconnecting With Your Destiny, I write about how to overcome lock down, hopelessness, and despair. You will read about how King David overcame failure. You will also read testimonials concerning Apostle Paul, Jeremiah, and Peter. It's important to know that you can always reconnect with your destiny and see your future.

In fact, when we reconnect with destiny, it is another way that we experience a breakthrough! Just as Jeremiah was empowered to see his new season, so can you. If you recall, Jeremiah was disappointed with his abilities – yet God "touched" Jeremiah's weaknesses. (Take some time and read through Jeremiah 1.) This new book that I have written will position you for God's "touch" so that you can be mantled properly for your future.

I'm so excited that God is awakening us! This means that He has great plans for us. He is waking us up to face a new season. It's time to awake and put on strength (see Isaiah 52:1-2)!

"Discerning the Progressive Applications of Your Prophetic Revelations"

If you've kept record of your prophetic words over the years, you've probably noticed that at least some of these revelations played out a little differently—or maybe a lot differently—than you expected. You also may be experiencing what I call the progressive application of your prophetic revelation.

In other words, when you received the prophetic word you applied it to your life or ministry in the best way you knew how at the time. That application wasn't wrong, but it may not have been the fullness of God's prophetic intent. Often, it takes years for a prophetic word to realize its full manifestation. You take steps toward it as the prophetic revelation unfolds.

I've experienced this a number of times in the last decade alone. You could look at it as God connecting the dots of your prophetic destiny, but it runs deeper than that. When you experience progressive application of a prophetic revelation, you're essentially growing into the prophetic word. At first you didn't have the capacity to walk in the completeness of what the Lord was saying, so you entered into a training ground that allowed you to apply the principles of the prophetic word on a smaller scale. (Photo via pixabay)

The Ezra Revelation

One of the best examples I can offer from my personal life is what I now affectionately refer to as the "Ezra revelation." In Ezra 4 we discover the work on the house of God in Jerusalem ceased after much resistance and opposition. After some time, the restoration of the temple resumed with prophets playing a key role.

"Then the prophet Haggai and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophets, prophesied to the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel, who was over them. So Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak rose up and began to build the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them, helping them" (Ezra 5:1-2).

When I saw this Scripture, the Lord spoke to my heart about the role of prophetic ministry in building—or rebuilding, as it were—God's house. I was convinced the application was a weekly meeting with the prophets in our congregation during which we could pray and seek the Lord for prophetic strategies about building the local church. That wasn't wrong, but 10 years later I see the prophetic revelation God was pouring into my heart was about more than one local church—it has to do with an awakening in America.

The Ezekiel Revelation

Another strong example of revisiting the application of your prophetic words is what I affectionately refer to as the "Ezekiel revelation." I was on a difficult missions trip in Latin America when the Lord directed me to Ezekiel 3 and then to Ezekiel 33. Ezekiel 3 is when God called Ezekiel to be watchman and gave him a mandate:

"Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul"(Ezekiel 3:17-19).

A similar command is found in Ezekiel 33:7-9. When I read these verses the fear of the Lord struck my heart. I knew that I needed to be faithful to step out and share the prophetic warnings I was receiving during that season of my ministry, even though nobody really wanted to hear them. I had no understanding at the time that I would pen a Watchman on the Wall column that would sound the alarm in the nations of the Earth.

We Know in Part

Here's the lesson—and it's an important one for every Believer whether you move in prophetic ministry, receive personal prophecy in a prayer line, or just hear the still small voice of God for yourself:

Record the prophetic words, dreams and visions you receive and seek to put the truth within them into practice today.But don't stop there. Refer back to your journals over time, and you may see clearly how the Lord has shifted dynamics to bring you into a deeper application of that prophetic revelation.

Overall, move with the Holy Spirit at the level you are now and always expect Him to take you deeper than where you are. God is able to "do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). Instead of limiting the application of your prophetic words, remain open to new revelations that will take you deeper into His will.

Outward signs of the times often reflect to us the spiritual realities that are available for us in the Body of Christ!  Those with eyes to see will soon walk into another level of prophetic awareness and bring revelation to the Body that has yet to be revealed.

A Vision of Prophetic Revelation

As I prayed recently I saw darkness that surrounded a single tree; darkness however that did not reflect evil, yet merely a sense of ignorance, a place and time, and not knowing what was available.

As I continued to pray and peer into the prophetic vision, the Lord began to show me the prophetic reality that the Body of Christ could walk in, as we recognize the need for the light of God and hidden revelations we can partake of in this next season. (Photo via flickr)

During the last 100 years, we have seen an outpouring of Holy Spirit, as well as the activation of many in the realm of the prophetic anointing. People that are "no-names" are directing and guiding the future by faithfully speaking the word of the Lord and creating destiny in the world. "And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh" (Acts 2:17). What a promise... a promise that is being revealed today.

"And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on My servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days." Joel 2:28-29

In the last 100 years, not only have we seen the outpouring and the prophetic flow increase, we can look at what God is releasing in the world of vision in the natural. Not many decades ago the television was a black and white small screen with a poor quality picture and poor sound. A few decades before that it was only an imagination; only a thought in someone's mind.

In fact, what we take for granted today, many people had not even imagined or thought about... not even a thought of watching people and events through a box or a screen. It is the same today with volumes of revelation and spiritual realities that God has yet to release to the Body of Christ.

In this time of prayer the Lord revealed to me that many great technologies and revelations would pour out as He allowed His light of revelation to dispel the darkness of ignorance.

Today not only do we have high definition television, 3D display and in movie theaters, and tablets and smart phones that stream "visions" to our life, and there is more and more being released everyday.

So it is with the prophetic realm today, for those who have eyes to see, the realms of vision and awareness are being illuminated today! Your once "black and white" vision will become high definition and full spectrums of color! Your small "vision" or screen will become "bigger than life" full screen, panoramic visions of prophetic revelation. The crackling, old speakers of sound are now louder, crisper, and truly surround sound of voices (hearing in the spirit).

The world has reflected in technology what the Lord is releasing in the spirit realm of man!

Prophetic Night Vision

The Lord showed me that night vision is coming to the Body of Christ to see and bring illumination to the dark areas that are here in our world that we have not yet seen. Again I did not see the darkness as evil, but as places of ignorance. Ignorance is not a derogatory term, it simply states a lack of knowledge or understanding. The "night vision" of the Lord will fall upon His people to bring sights this season that will bring inner and outer transformation. (Photo via pixabay)

When the Lord imparts revelation it brings transformation – first to the person and then to all that the person influences. This is your time and your season to receive the anointing of prophetic night vision and see beyond what is before your eyes today!

There is more to see my friend, and God is imparting the vision to see, the sound to hear, and the heart to discern.

"Our Strangest Fear!"

Some fears catch us by surprise! We are not even aware that they are there. If you allow this one strange fear to control you, you will not see the potential that God has planned for your life.

About four or five years ago, I began to pray for people on Facebook chat. Before long, I was seeing many miracles, and consequently, I was receiving more attention than I had ever had before. The president of a Christian college and bishop over a large number of churches in India began using my teaching in all of his churches and classes. Even though I had been a pastor and speaker for many years, now people knew me from all over the world, literally. That's great, right?

Don't Fear God-Promotion!

Then this FEAR caught me by surprise! It was NOT the fear of failure. It was the fear of SUCCESS! As long as I was not successful, I could stay relatively HIDDEN. As long as I was hidden, I felt SAFE! Now, I felt vulnerable. Hiding would no longer be possible. I had other related fears. I felt a fear of becoming proud. I felt a fear of someone THINKING I was proud. I struggled over whether I wanted the misunderstandings that came from sharing testimonies of people being healed. (Photo via Star Business Solutions)

In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus said, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven."

A light that is hidden out of fear of being conspicuous gives no benefit to anyone and brings no glory to the Father. What good is a light that is hidden from view? Of course, I am not talking about self-promotion. I am talking about GOD-promotion.

Could It Be That YOUR Desire to Stay Hidden Is Rooted In Fear?

A seed is an embryonic plant in a protective shell.In order for that seed to bring forth a harvest and reach the fullness of what God created it for, it must break out of that protective shell.If you want to reach your potential, YOU must break out of your protective shell that desires to always be hidden and safe. What if you make a mistake? Who doesn't! What if people criticize your motives or your actions? Father God is applauding your obedience to Him. Is it not worth it?

I am now free from that fear. I'm out of that protective shell! It is a good thing because we are going to become more conspicuous in the days to come. For those that have been faithfully doing as the Father directs, the LIGHT within shining to a lost and dying world will burn brighter and brighter. We will not be able to hide it.

It's your turn! Get out of that shell! Arise and SHINE!

"We aren't in Kansas anymore." This famous line is from The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy crossed over into new surroundings that looked unusual and overwhelming to her. We have not been where we are going, but God has. If we are not careful, we can let fear paralyze us for the unknown. But, God knows exactly what is going on and we have entered into the day of His power.

Supernatural signs from Heaven are going to be more and more visible and our job is to stay under His shadow. God fully intends for us to pray for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven and He is at work to answer that prayer. We must maintain our focus on the answer instead of the problems.

Isaiah 60:1-3 TLB, Arise, My people! Let your light shine for all the nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is streaming from you. Darkness as black as night shall cover all the peoples of the earth, but the glory of the Lord will shine from you. All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see the glory of the Lord upon you.

Keeping the First Thing the First Thing

Bobby Conner has often said, "The Church is far too familiar with a God we barely know!" The way to know God is to literally carve out time with Him alone. Conferences and gatherings will connect us with each other, but time spent with God alone will develop us from the inside and we will learn to hear His voice.

A well-trained racehorse knows the jockey's every movement. The horse knows when to go left, right, faster, slower and when to stop just by the jockey's slight movement. The reason they are effective in the race is because of the time they have spent together preparing for the race. When the race is on, there is no question as to the maneuver that must happen next. It's time to get the oil in our lamps and be ready to go in a moment's notice. God is perfect love and perfect love ALWAYS casts out fear.

Unity and Love is Most Important

In the days to come, we have to develop a heart of unity and demonstrate love towards one another. The battle is the Lord's. I take teams on outreaches to some very unusual and extreme places. On our teams, we have a "no disunity" policy. We cannot afford to break rank or get sideways with each other when we are fighting a larger battle on the outside.

If the enemy can get us fighting each other, he can destroy the whole team and sabotage its effectiveness, thus canceling ourassignment on the field. We esteem one another better than ourselves and learn to love the way God does. We develop one heart, one mind, one purpose and then we can partner and agree with God for what HE wants to do and accomplish our goal. (Photo via Wikimedia)

When we are in unity, not only does God command His blessing but the power of the Holy Spirit is off the charts.People we encounter get saved, healed, delivered, rescued and receive new identities and new pathways connected with God and filled with the Holy Spirit. Miracles always happen.

Keep Those Dreams and Visions Coming

Dreams are moving to the forefront as God is directing His people. A secret weapon of instruction, revealing secrets and conviction is often revealed in a dream. A God dream is impacting and the memory of the dream will play over and over again until the proper action is taken. Dreams have played a major role in communication throughout history. We don't often argue with a dream. Dreams will guide us, instruct us, comfort us and give us foresight into future things.

In our travels around the world interpreting dreams, we have heard countless accounts of dreamers who adjusted their path because of a message in the dream and averted some crazy circumstances that would have been potentially dangerous to them.

Job 33:14-18 TLB: "For God speaks again and again, in dreams, in visions of the night when deep sleep falls on men as they lie on their beds. He opens their ears in times like that and gives them wisdom and instruction, causing them to change their minds, and keeping them from pride, and warning them of the penalties of sin, and keeping them from falling into some trap."

Dreams are Increasing and We have to Pay Attention to Them

God thinks differently about dreams than we do. Dreams are God's idea; it's not new age. Dream interpreters have been in the Bible since Genesis. In my journey of using dream interpretation as a bridge-building tool to reach the God-hardened, I have found that people are very, very open to tell you their dreams. Joseph, in Matthew 1 and 2, was divinely warned in three dreams how to keep Jesus alive when He was getting ready to be born. These dreams were specific with clear direction and came at a time when Joseph had exhausted all of his natural wisdom on what to do. If God chose dreams as the major source of communication when Jesus was getting ready to come the first time, it would make sense that He would use dreams as Jesus is getting ready to come again.

I have recently had several prophetic direction dream: One dream was about a healing revival which will sweep the world, one about occupying high places that had been taken over by witchcraft, one about our current government and several about God's plan and strategies for the days ahead.

Listen Up!

Throughout the Bible, God has and will continue to use unconventional ways to accomplish His mission. He has a plan on how to overcome.

His ways have always been different than our ways and that will never change. He has instructions for us and we have to learn to listen to Him. Revelation 2:17, "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and a new name written on the stone which no one knows but he who receives it."

Our job is to tune out our own thoughts and listen to His instruction. The way we do that is by being closer and closer to Him. When we know God is in charge and will divinely direct us, we can move with confidence and authority.

Ephesians 6:12, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Family, Friends and Finances

Family members are getting ready to come home. Spiritual hunger is increasing and family and friends we have been praying for are getting ready to be encountered with truth that will set them free. Finances are also coming. We have to get out of debt and have the necessary resources to do the work we have to do. If riches increase, don't set your heart on them.Finances will be for us to position ourselves for the coming days. (Photo via Wikipedia)

The best is yet to come. Don't shrink back or be distracted. Hold tight to God, learn to listen, and God will do great and mighty things in our midst. Focus on God who is the answer and don't focus too much on the problems that are increasing.

These are the days of God's power.

Sons of Thunder

At the Mount of Transfiguration, when Jesus transcended into light, Elijah and Moses appeared before Jesus, Peter, James and John. The disciples were so overwhelmed with the experience that they wanted to proclaim the place holy and build three tabernacles, one for Elijah, one for Moses and one for Jesus. Then from Heaven above, the disciples heard the Father say, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well pleased; Listen to Him" (Matthew 17:5).

The Father was not interested then or now in any building; He was only interested in His Son, the Word of God, and confirming we hear and obey Him."And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts" (2 Peter 1:19).

Peter is saying that: each and every one of us has a prophetic word. The audible word of His Father was spoken over Him for all to hear. His word said that He was His Son and multitudes for generations to come would hear and obey Him.

What is your prophetic word? We are all commissioned and equipped to serve in His Kingdom. You will be assured of your identity in Christ when you have fully died to yourself and given Him your all. Learning by the Example of Others

I had no idea what to do when I was called into ministry in July of 1976, when the Lord spoke to me from Ezekiel 33. At the very end of the chapter there is reference to being a prophet. According to my limited knowledge at that time, I thought prophets were men who wore camel skin coats and had honey dripping from their beards. I thought prophets must be weird people, but I really did not know that for sure because I had not known of any prophets during that time of my life. A few years later, the Holy Spirit commissioned me. He revealed how I was to perform my duties by sending out prophecies through the mail.

After receiving my call to be a prophet of God, I could feel the pressure of His hand start moving me toward learning the prophetic ministry, but I was not interested. I liked my job as bank president; being highly respected in the community, my hours were great and I had something everyone wanted – money to loan. Now God wanted to humble me by making me look like a freak in the eyes of the people. I knew that my life in the spotlight would be over if I followed Him into this new way of living. (Photo via pixabay)

Some, like myself, do not have a choice when called into the ministry. They are going, either easily by listening and obeying or through turbulent resistance. Believe me, if you resist you will find out what it is like to live in the belly of a whale. It stinks so please, do not choose the hard way.

After the rug was jerked out from under me and the dust had settled, I diligently started pursuing the way of a prophet. I tried to enroll in various Bible colleges, but God would not have it. I was confused and frustrated. Little did I know that the Holy Spirit would teach me what it really meant to be a prophet – all my duties and the ins and outs of the office of a prophet. I thought maybe a prophet was some old guy who got into peoples' faces, chewed them up one side and spit them out the other. I soon learned that is not what a true prophet of God is call to do.

The Key to Finding Your Purpose

When you finally submit to Him and vow to do whatever He wants you to do, His blessings will overtake you and bless you for years to come. If you hear God and obey, you cannot out run His blessings. He will bless you in spite of yourself.

I was scared when God commissioned me to start offering my gift to the general public – to send out prophecies through the mail with no more information than their name and address. I had no idea where this would lead me. God promised that if I made myself available as a vessel for Him to speak through, He would bless me. He said wherever a prophecy was sent too I would reap a harvest.

I was still reluctant to do it because nobody I knew was doing this type of ministry. The only thing that came close to working like this was a psychic and I did not want to be associated with that group. However, after three days of wrestling with what He wanted, I began to follow His command and make myself available as a vessel for Him to speak through.

Getting Started is the Hardest Part

For me, the most difficult step in this path of ministry was when I sent out the first prophecy on an audio-cassette tape. I thought I would only do one or two; however, the requests have not slowed. From the time I started in November of 1989, I have sent out over 100,000 prophetic words. At one point, I had a tiny ad in Charisma magazine. They immediately started receiving so much flak from other ministries and pastors that they wanted to cancel my ad. (Photo via Wikipedia)

God always gets what He wants. The ad continued in the magazine month after month for over five years. It was only later that I found out Charisma Magazine had anonymously requested personal prophecies for each of their office staff members. It was later reported to me that they were so touched by their individual prophecies; they unanimously decided they would NOT remove the ad from the magazine. God bless Charisma magazine for standing up for what they believe!

Being Loyal to the Commission

When you act on what God has commissioned you to do there will be battles, but remember they are His battles. Whatever you need, He will make sure you have it in order to complete the job if you keep moving in the direction He wants. He will not leave you out in the middle of the desert without a supply line coming to assist you. He will not let you be caught off-guard nor allow your enemy to sneak up behind you and stab you in the back. You cannot afford to go another day without crying out to God, telling Him you will do what He asks of you.

When I started mailing out prophecies, it seemed like a foolish thing to do and it was very humbling when asked what kind of work I did. In the beginning there seemed to be nothing to gain from doing what God asked. However, God will go to great lengths to change the hearts of the people.

What Will God Do for You?

We are now going into a new time of life in America, changed forever by the war that began September 11, 2001. Things are going to change even more in the marketplace, in business, governments, education. The Church must change too.

At present, our Lord has our prophetic elders busy writing a new course of direction for the Church's protocol and code of ethics. What is the Most Important to You?

Every revelation and every invention comes from Heaven above. The devil never created anything. Every invention is a gift from God and all good gifts come from God. All you have to do in order to receive your gift is open your heart to Him and say, "God, use me however You so will." God is searching the globe looking for that one act of obedience so that He may pour out His blessing. He is not looking for sinners to punish. All sin has been appropriated through the Blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In His name, we should do whatever the Father has called, commissioned and equipped us to do. Everything else this life offers pales in comparison.

"The Overshadowing of The Lord Releases Favor and Influence"

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

Life is hectic; there are deadlines to meet, long to-do lists to check off, places to be, problems to solve, and obstacles to overcome. It is easy to get caught up in it all and to become overwhelmed or stressed by our obligations, lack, worry, and challenges. This is not good, because such things can make us feel separated from God, who is our refuge and fortress (see Psalm 91:2). Such feelings will not lead us to victory, will not produce the blessings, and will not help us one iota (please read the entire chapter of Psalm 91). (Photo via Pixabay)

To dwell in the secret place of the Most High is to rest, remain, and stay there. Every moment we are there, God is overshadowing us with His protection and glory. We are, therefore, constantly living under an open Heaven where everything becomes possible, where we are protected from dangerous and destructive circumstance (spiritual and natural), and where spiritual and natural blessings and promises manifest. Whenever we are in that awesome place of abiding relationship with the Lord, we are assured that He is overshadowing us, truly dwelling with us in prolonged habitation.

Overshadowed By the Holy Spirit

In Acts 4:29-31, the Believers gathered in one accord and prayed for more boldness to speak His word and for His hand to heal and perform signs, wonders, and miracles. It says the Holy Spirit came and dwelt in that place, shaking it, and overshadowing Peter, transforming his ministry style so that, wherever he went, the overshadowing of the glory of the Lord followed him. Such a tangible presence of the Lord rested upon him that people brought the sick and laid them in the street so that Peter's shadow would fall on them and they would be healed (see Acts 5:15).

Life Under His Wing

Job knew what it was to live under the shadow of the wing of the Almighty. It was a powerful place of anointing – an incredible place! He walked in favor, immense blessings, and protection, and he even awoke in the friendly counsel of God. In the following passage, we see that the shadow of God's wing is a very powerful, comforting, and fruitful place to be! Those who have been there once will crave to be there again. And those who have never been there will be enticed by this passage to long desperately to experience life under His wing. "Oh, that I were as in the months past, as in the days when God watched over me; when His lamp shone upon my head, and when by His light I walked through darkness; just as I was in the days of my prime, when the friendly counsel of God was over my tent; when the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were around me; when my steps were bathed with cream, and the rock poured out rivers of oil for me!

"When I went to the gate by the city, when I took my seat in the open square, the young men saw me and hid, and the aged arose and stood; the princes refrained from talking, and put their hand on their mouth; the voice of nobles were hushed, and their tongues stuck to the roof of their mouth. When the ear heard, then it blessed me, and when the eye saw, then it approved me; because I delivered the poor who cried out, the fatherless and the one who had no helper. The blessing of a perishing man came upon me, and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; my justice was like a robe and a turban. I was eyes to the blind, and I was feet to the lame. I was a father to the poor, and I searched out the case that I did not know. I broke the fangs of the wicked, and plucked the victim from his teeth" (Job 29:2-17).

Read it again. How would you like to experience life like that? How would you like to cause the widow's heart to sing for joy, to be feet to the lame, to be a father to the poor? How would you like the power to break the fangs of the wicked and actually pluck the victim from the enemy's teeth? How would you like to awaken every morning and receive advice and strategy, formulas and solutions, and revelation into key areas? How would you like to receive answers to mysteries that confound the world?

Mighty Things Ahead

His overshadowing releases fresh favor to walk paths we've never tread and to influence spheres we've never impacted before.Suddenly, we might have opportunity to speak wisdom to a government official, which causes that official to overturn an ungodly decision or action. Or, God may give us the key to inspiring New Agers to seek God. Or, God may use us to release destiny in families in a way that impacts their extended families and their children's children's children's children. Or we may have newfound boldness to literally pluck the innocent out of the fangs of death. I'm sure we would all like that kind of anointing! (Photo via iStock)

I'm going for it! I want to experience more than just a few breakthroughs; I want to see entire families set into the order of divine justice, living not as victims in the fangs of death but as overcomers in the victory of the Lord! I want to see an outpouring of righteousness, of God's justice in the land. I've been blessed to be part of five great outpourings, and I've seen great and marvelous things, but I want more than that! Yes, I want to see His righteousness poured out!

How about you? You were born for this moment! You are alive for such a time as this!

Psalm 91 starts off with a powerful revelation: "He who dwells...." It's not just anybody, not all, but, "He who dwells...shall abide under the shadow of [My wing]." Some have seen His habitation, and they have made a habit out of dwelling in His place. These ones His wings will cover. Upon these ones, His blessings will manifest.

Among us, there are those who prefer to ascend into the hill of the Lord and those who prefer to stand in His holy place (see Psalm 24:3). Some have traveled through the outer temple court, through the inner court, and into the Holy of Holies. They've experienced God, are touched by Him – but thenwhoosh, out they go. These are the ascenders who come for the touch and then leave.

But there are others who won't leave that place for anything. They say, "I'm not leaving this place! I'm staying, abiding, and dwelling, because I have been given the priestly blessing. I wear the garment of salvation for glory and for beauty. I have unlimited access, and I, therefore, will stay right here in the habitation of God's glory!"

As Believers, we wear purified, priestly garments that cover our flesh, garments made "for glory and for beauty" (see Exodus 28:2, 40). We wear the beauty of His holiness upon us! We have that garment! And being fully clothed in it gives us access to the secret place of His presence. In Job 29:6, Job recalled the days of his prime when the friendly counsel of God was over his tent. Imagine waking up and seeing He's there! Imagine awakening with God over the tent! This is what happens when we remain in that Holy Place, aligned with Him and His thoughts. This is what it means to walk in the glory of His presence.

The glory doesn't lift but rests and settles upon us, in our wakefulness and in our sleep. It fills us afresh with the fatness of the richness of His oil – to the point that our lips cannot help but speak of His lovingkindness. Just as David did, we will praise God because, even when we are lying down at night, we cannot help but meditate on His glorious ways (see Psalm 63:1-2, 5-6).

Become a Gate

By abiding in the dwelling of the glory, we become gates who have the potential to see multitudes get delivered, healed, and born again. We have the potential to lead thousands upon thousands of people into the inner court. There revelation of the Word as more than simply a good teaching floods their hearts and becomes the very essence of their DNA, causing them to worship because of the vastness of the God they had never known before. Suddenly they understand, as the Illuminator illuminates the truth, ringing it true to their hearts, and they are flooded with praise, saying, "Oh! How majestic are You and Your ways, O Lord! Under the shadow of Your wing, I am protected."

In the abiding place of His presence, deep calls to deep and Spirit calls to spirit, telling of the reality of how big God really is. The impossible floods the heart, mind, and imagination with possibility, with the reality that He knew us before we were born, called us, and fashioned our days for us. Let us all pray,"Teach me Your ways, O Lord. Let me know You and Your ways." Let us purpose in our hearts to be overshadowed and to dwell in the secret place!

Enjoying Our Resurrection Life

This anointing also destroys yokes and removes burdens. When Jesus called Lazarus to come forth in John 11:43, Lazarus was resurrected and alive, but Jesus then followed up by saying to those there, "Loose him." He did this because Lazarus was still bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and until they came off, he could not fully enjoy resurrection life. When we are under the anointing, our grave clothes are loosed! By and by, we no longer see ourselves as other people say we are, but we see ourselves in the revelation of who Christ says we are! Once we are through the gate named Christ and in the Holy of Holies, once we are clothed in righteousness, we don't have to go back to the outer court or the inner court; we can remain in there. Through His Blood, He made the way and made it possible. When He sees us garbed in our priestly garments, He doesn't see the mess; He sees glory and beauty. It's the right place to be! If we enter into a beautiful house but never get past the foyer, we won't ever really enjoy or appreciate the house. In the same way, as we enter the Lord's presence, He will turn on every light in welcome.

In Psalm 85:9, it says the Lord has saved us so His glory may dwell in our land; this means, those who are born again should be spreading and manifesting His glory. We must first experience victory in the Lord ourselves, and this victory happens when He overshadows us with His wings as we abide in Him. In that dwelling place, we experience the Spirit of burning, which releases the spirit of judgment and a canopy of glory, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night (see Isaiah 4:4-5).

Let's pray right now, "God, I give You permission to burn up everything that keeps me from learning to dwell with You." Now confess it often, "My heart is to dwell with You!"

Prayer

Father God, I thank You for all the people reading this article. I decree and declare over their lives that they are covered by the cloud of glory! Now, Father, I ask for the overshadowing of the glory realm. I decree that they are walking in the strength and stature of Christ in them, that each one carries the weighty presence of the Lord. They are not satisfied just to touch the Holy Presence now and then, not content for a visitation here and there, but are earnestly seeking the habitation of Your glory resting upon them. I ask for all who have ears to hear to know a new and greater degree of Your tangible presence in their lives and in their households. I pray that the beauty of Your glory will even be seen by their children and their children's children.

God, release that fire and help us in every area where we are not making Your presence our habitation; bring us into alignment. Help us to know Your truth in our inward parts so that we may walk in a greater degree of Your glory. Friends, I pray that each of you diffuses a greater fragrance of Christ's victory wherever you go and that He would surely overshadow you so that all you come into contact with would encounter His holy presence. I pray that you would become peacemakers and that you would release the priestly blessing everywhere you go. It is a whole new day. We are shucking off shame and condemnation. We are breaking out of doubt and unbelief. We are not just going to touch the glory, but we will abide and dwell in the secret place where nothing can touch us because we are protected under the shadow of His wing.

Let the fragrance of Your holy presence be upon Your people, Lord. Anoint them with fresh, fragrant oil! Wherever they tread, Lord, in coming days, I pray that their thoughts and minds will be with You, that they will tread as gatekeepers in the house of God, that as they open up the gate for the King of glory, it will release a blessing of the spiritual rain of Ezekiel to bring breakthrough, righteousness, peace, and joy. May they bring salvation, the victory of the justice that Jesus delivered at the Cross, and Your victory!

You have an invitation to not only dwell with the Lord and continually experience the magnificence of His presence, His protection, and His many blessings, but to also draw close to His heart and develop a life of communion together. Such a mutually abiding life requires a decision on your part, a resolve and perseverance. I highly recommend memorizing the entire sixteen verses of Psalm 91 for further encouragement. The vastness of God is beyond your understanding. Press into it right now!
